DISCONNECTING SERVICE

Please notify us one business day before you want to disconnect your service. During May and August you may need to give us at least 72 hours notice. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you are a gas customer and your gas meter is inside, we must have access to the meter to discontinue your service. Please let us know how we will get in. If you give us an order to take service out of your name and no one else has applied, the service will be cut off.

There are several ways you can notify us that you no longer need service. Here are your options.

  1. You can call us at (434) 970-3211. Please give us your account number, address you are disconnecting, date you wish to disconnect and your forwarding address. 
  2. You can send us a letter or a fax (434) 970-3212 to let us know that you will no longer need our service. Please include your account number, the address you have service, date to disconnect and your forwarding address. Please do not write us a note on your payment stub. This office does not open the payment envelopes. 
  3. Request a service disconnection online by filling out the form below.
