About Us:

Charlottesville's Animal Control Officer is ACO Casey Breeden.  Animal Control has one ACO equipped truck.

Report an Animal Control Problem

Please initiate all calls for service through ECC (911) for Emergency Animal Control incidents call 911 for Non-Emergency Animal Control incidents contact the ECC at 434-977-9041.  If the ACO is not on duty the call will be referred to her upon her return unless it is a vicious or dangerous situation in which a patrol officer will be dispatched.  The ACO follows up on calls that come in over the weekend on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM
(on call for major animal control situations)
