City’s Nina-Alice Antony named an ‘Up & Coming Lawyer’ for 2019

Virginia Lawyers Media will recognize Antony at ceremony in Richmond Oct. 22


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville is pleased to announce that Nina-Alice Antony, Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, has been named by Virginia Lawyers Media as a member of its 2019 class of “Up & Coming Lawyers.”

The sixteen honorees will be celebrated, along with the “Leaders in the Law” Class of 2019, at a reception on Oct. 22 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.

“I am pleased that Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Nina-Alice Antony has been recognized as a 2019 “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly,” said Joseph Platania, the City’s Commonwealth’s Attorney. “She is a valued member of this office and her service to the citizens of Charlottesville is most appreciated.”

Antony started her career with the City of Charlottesville in October 2011 and in January 2018 she was promoted to Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. She received her Doctor of Law from the Catholic University of America and her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. This awards program, now in its fourth year, recognizes lawyers across the commonwealth who are making their mark within their first 10 years of practice.

These are the lawyers who are the leaders of the profession in the future.
