FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAT Trolley to Detour South Street West for 90-Day Observation

A 90-day observation period to gather ridership data will result in the detour of CAT's flagship route.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Starting Sunday, October 6, 2019, CAT’s Free Trolley route will detour from Water Street onto South Street West between Ridge/McIntire Road and 2nd Street SW.

This temporary change will be active for 90 days. The 90-day observation period is designed to gather ridership information and public sentiment. Once the evaluation period is over, CAT will work with City Council and the general public to determine if the detour changes should become permanent. We thank you for your patience and look forward to better serving our community.
