Liberation and Freedom Days: Confederate Monuments Walking Tour

Join Dr. Andrea Douglas and Dr. Jalane Schmidt for a tour of the Confederate Statues in downtown Charlottesville to learn about these objects and the role they play in our local and national narrative.

The tour will begin in Court Square at 2pm.

Freedom and Liberation Days events are made possible through the generous support of the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center, Institute for the Redress of Inequity through Community-Engaged Scholarship, Virginia Humanities, the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, UVA's Division for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the President's Commission on the University in the Age of Segregation and the John L.
