Imagine a Day without Water Kickoff

August 28th marks the start of our Art Contest and Imagine a Day without Water Campaign

  • Date: 08/28/2019 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: Shops at Stonefield

Come to the Shops at Stonefield on Wednesday, August 28th from 3:00 - 5:00pm to learn about our Imagine a Day without Water campaign and art contest. There will be information on our public water utilities and water sources, free giveaways to help you save water, and music entertainment provided by 106.1 the Corner!

We are also excited to announce that the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County Service Authority, and Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority are holding the 5th annual Imagine a Day without Water Art Contest. As some of you may remember, we held this contest for the past 4 years and have had very positive success. The goal of this contest is to educate Charlottesville and Albemarle students about the importance of water, and why it is important to conserve it and keep it clean. We’d like to continue the momentum developed by the previous contests, and find more ways to continue to be engaging, fun, and informative to students. The details are very similar to previous year’s contest, and the theme of the contest has been updated to illustrate “Only Use What You Need” and why we value water. New this year, is the contest is now open to all students in Charlottesville and Albemarle County in Grades K through 12th! The contest runs from August 28th - October 23rd. Check our website for more details.
