19th Annual Juneteenth

You are invited to attend this year's Juneteenth celebration.  It is the oldest known celebration that commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. it grew out of the freed slaves' desire to remember that day- June 19, 1865.

We will celebrate through history, music, poetry, dance and activities.

On Friday June 14 starting at 6PM, our local ancestors will be honored. Then on Saturday, June 15 we will continue celebrating outside in front of the African American Heritage Center at 5PM.

Sample food will be prepared so you can support local vendors.
