Sunday Service August 26th
Posted Date: 8/16/2007

Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS) has announced that its new service schedule will begin on Saturday, August 25.

Sunday bus service begins August 26. CTS’ Route 7 will run every 30 minutes from 7:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Sundays, and the FREE Trolley will run every 30 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Beginning August 25, CTS will improve service to Route 5 so that there are buses every 30 minutes instead of every 45 minutes. Route 5 bus service between Wal-Mart and the Barracks Road Shopping Center will run from 6:15 a.m. until 7:15 p.m.

Route 6A will now travel along Water Street to Ridge Street and down Monticello Avenue to provide service to Crescent Halls on the way to Brookwood Drive.

Route 3B will now travel along West Main Street instead of Cherry Avenue on the way to Greenleaf Park. The route will also now provide service along 9th Street between Page Street and West Street when Route 3B is traveling inbound to Downtown.

New CTS Rider’s Guides will be available at the Downtown Transit Station and at other CTS/UTS bus guide outlets beginning August 21. Other outlets include City Hall, the Greyhound Station, the CTS offices at 315 4th Street NW, the UTS offices on Millmont Street, and many other locations, as well as on CTS buses.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no CTS service on Sunday, September 2, or Monday, September 3, as the City of Charlottesville observes the Labor Day holiday.
