Teen Ride Program
In an effort to promote public transportation as a viable and sustainable source of transportation among area teens, Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) has instated a new pilot program, expanding its Teen Ride Program to all high school aged students through June 30th, 2013. Based upon the success of the Charlottesville High School (CHS) ride program, students in grades nine through twelve will have the ability to ride any CAT bus free of charge. This will include home schooled students, county school students, and private school students. To ride fare free, students will simply show their student ID or CAT issued phot ID.

Real-Time Information and 3rd Party Apps:
It has come to our attention that smartphone users may not have reliable access to CAT’s real time information through their third party transit apps. While we love the added convenience of these apps, we have little to no control over their development. For reliable information, we recommend that users utilize our
website
or call our real-time information line at 434-244-5180. Again, we apologize about the inconvenience and recommend that you contact your app developer with any further issues.
