The Crime Analysis Unit is a resource component that is available to members of the Department, other City departments, and the general public. It assists the operational and administrative functions of the Department by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information that can be used for preventing and suppressing criminal activities, aiding the investigative process, and increasing apprehensions and the clearance of cases.
The data contained in these reports is dynamic and may change as cases are reclassified or records expunged. The Charlottesville Police Department does not assume any liability for decisions made or actions taken or not taken by the recipient based on the information provided in these reports.
