General Statement of Duties:
The Assistant Asset Manager will be charged with working with the Asset Management Team in the oversight of CRHA real estate assets, maintenance and property management programs. The principal work of this position is to help ensure CRHA communities are managed professionally with the goal of fostering a sustainable and thriving real estate portfolio capable of accomplishing CRHA’s mission and goals while meeting the long-term needs of tenants and the community.
The Assistant Asset Manager serves as a member of the Public Housing Asset Management Team, working closely with the Asset Manager and other staff members. Reporting directly to an Asset Manager, the Assistant Asset Manager is someone who can take direction, problem solve, support team workflow and often provide front-line assistance to Residents. They are able to work collaboratively with the Asset Management Team to develop creative approaches and achieve key goals. Most importantly the Assistant Asset Manager is a person of integrity, accountability, has an eye for technical details and heart for working with residents.
General Statement of Duties:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director and/or designee, performs overall construction project management for all Authority residential rehabilitation and construction projects. Also responsible for oversight of Maintenance Staff in collaboration with the Asset Managers to ensure timely quality repair service to CRHA owned Public Housing units. Work includes assisting in cost development, conducting as needed on-site inspections, reviewing plans and specifications, and preparing technical reports. Provides technical input in the planning of construction projects. Conducts residential rehabilitation construction assessments and designs corrective solutions. Manages residential construction contracts and related work as required. Ensures that construction and rehabilitation projects are completed to federal, state, and local minimum standards and building codes, and to project drawings and specifications. Performance of the duties requires a thorough knowledge of construction materials and techniques and the ability to effectively communicate with architects, engineers, contractors and homeowners. Plans and directs the repair and maintenance program for the Authority’s public housing units; does related work as required. Assists in development, implementation and management of the Capital Budget. Plans and directs all site repairs and inspection activities. Coordinates and manages agency vehicles. This is skilled supervisory work involving responsibility for overseeing a centralized maintenance program. Direction and supervision is exercised over the work of all maintenance staff.
