Over 376 units are managed for the exclusive use of low income families, seniors, and disabled individuals. Another 300 units of privately owned homes are available by the CRHA through the Housing Choice Voucher Program. For general information call (434) 326-4672.
Approximately 2,000 people live in affordable homes while contributing about 30% of their income towards rent.

The Waitlist is currently closed. No applications are being accepted at this time. Housing Authorities are permitted to close their wait list if they have an adequate pool of families to utilize expected vacancies for a reasonable period determined by the Housing Authority.
It is important for current applicants to keep their address and phone number up-to-date with CRHA. All changes/updates need to be submitted in writing either in person, by fax (434-971-4797) or mail (P.O. Box 1405, Charlottesville, VA 22902).
The Housing Authority has received a National Merit Award from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agency Officials (NAHRO).
