The City of Charlottesville government offices will close Wednesday, November 21 at 1p.m. and will remain closed on

Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 for Thanksgiving. 

Rental Relief for the Elderly or Permanently and Totally Disabled

If you or your spouse are 65 years of age or older or are permanently and totally disabled, and have a yearly income of $50,000 or less, and a net worth of $125,000 or less, you may qualify for a grant to help offset the cost of rents paid.

Apply in person at the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office in City Hall. The application period runs from March 1 through May 1.
