Dialogue on Race Follow-up to vote on Community Priorities

The Dialogue on Race began as a city initiative in 2009 and led to the creation of the City of Promise, the Chamber Business Diversity Council, the Human Rights Commission and the Office of Human Rights, as well as other programs. The Dialogue on Race just completed a round of discussion circles on race and race relations in Charlottesville. Now we are asking the public to come together and vote on the ideas that came out of these race dialogues to determine which ideas should become priorities and actions to address for Charlottesville just as we did during the first time our community came together in 2009. EVERYONE is welcome to attend on December 11, 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center. Childcare will be provided.

For more information contact the Office of Human Rights at 970-3023 or check the Facebook page for the Human Rights Commission.
