BIOGRAPHY

Bob Fenwick was elected to City Council in 2013 and began his term in January of 2014.

Bob has been a resident of the Charlottesville community area for 38 years. He is married to Victoria and their two sons were born and raised in Charlottesville and attended Charlottesville public schools from Burnley Moran, through Walker, through Buford and Charlottesville High School. Bob has been a small business owner for 41 years with Fenwick Construction, a Virginia Class A Building Contractor in commercial and residential construction and home repairs and additions.

Bob got his engineering and construction experience starting with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., undergraduate and graduate study in Civil Engineering and Construction Management at The George Washington School of Engineering in Washington, D.C.  He served seven years in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer with a tour of duty in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam as a Brigade Engineer in the 4th Infantry Division and company commander of up to 180 combat engineers. He was awarded the Bronze Star and three Air medals among other decorations.

Bob is an enthusiastic supporter of the arts and has produced, directed and hosted a PBS television show, HomeWork With Bob Fenwick, written several books, among them, Santa's Little Helper, Two Hours 'Til Dawn, and McIntire The Fox, and is web master for a dozen community, personal and business web sites.
