Charlottesville Area Transit Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation requirements set forth in 49 C.F.R., Part 26, as amended, Charlottesville Area Transit hereby notifies the public that it is utilizing the following Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the applicable goods and services procured during Federal Fiscal Years(FFY)  2017-2019, beginning October 1, 2016 and ending September 30, 2019. The overall DBE goal for this period is 5.7%.

Information pertaining to this goal and a description of how it was selected is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the City of Charlottesville Procurement and Risk Management Services Division, 325 4th Street NW, Charlottesville, VA, for 30 days following the publication date of this notice. Written comments on this goal will be accepted for 45 days from the date of publication of this notice. Charlottesville Area Transit Program of Projects

The City of Charlottesville has applied for federal and state assistance totaling $3,868,625 for Fiscal Year 2016. Operating assistance will help fund transit service operated by Charlottesville Area Transit. Capital assistance will fund a Vehicle Locator System, one (1) replacement Bus, two (2) CAT support vehicles, and bus stop shelters, benches and other bus stop amenities. The City has applied for $ 3,249,575 in operating assistance and $619,050 in capital assistance.
A copy of the grant application containing the Program of Projects may be examined at Neighborhood Development Services, 610 East Market Street, Charlottesville City Hall, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Copies of the application will be made available in accessible formats upon request.
Persons desiring a public hearing on this matter should notify Charlottesville Area Transit that they seek a hearing no later than August 26, 2015. If a hearing is requested, a notice will be published at least fifteen days in advance of the hearing. If there are no requests for a hearing, one will not be held, and the Program of Projects as described in the application will be considered final.
