Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) uses the open market to purchase many of its needed goods and services. Funding for the agency is provided by federal, state, and local assistance. To ensure full and open competition as well as fair and reasonable prices, CAT follows stringent guidelines set forth by the Federal Transit Administration.
As a division of the City of Charlottesville, CAT's larger procurements are regularly posted to the City of Charlottesville's Procurement and Risk Management webpage. For a current list of projects please click here. Please note that not all of the current projects listed on the webpage are for CAT.
