Calling Artists for the 2018 Art Bus Project

Dinosaur Wrap

Illustrator Paul Hostetler designed the 2017 Art Bus.
His dinosaur concept has drawn a lot of attention in
the Charlottesville area.

Are you ready!?!

Our 2018 wrap will be unveiled the third week of March!  The design, which was selected by you, will soon be cruising the city streets of Charlottesville.  Stay tuned for more information.

Since 2014, CAT has partnered with the Tom Tom Founders Festival to promote art in the community. The initiative, titled City as a Canvas, includes wall murals, street paintings, and bus wraps.  To date, three artists have had their work transform city buses into moving murals.

These moving murals are placed into regular transit service allowing residents, visitors, and passengers the opportunity to enjoy colorful displays.

The mural itself is a giant removable adhesive sticker that does not damage the vehicle's underlying paint and graphics.
