Transportation Development Plan (TDP)

Football fans can now ride Route 7 free of charge during home games. Passengers who have a current UVA game day ticket can ride for free three hours before kickoff and up to two hours post game. To ride, passengers must show the driver their ticket. Free rides are only eligible on Route 7.

10/21/2017 - Free Trolley - Due to UVA's football game against Boston College, CAT will not serve bus stops along Maury Ave, Alderman Rd, McCormick Rd, and portions of Jefferson Park Ave three hours prior to kickoff until 2 hours post game. Instead, the route will travel up Emmet Street to University Avenue. For a map of the detour, click here.
10/21/2017 to 10/22/2017 - Route 9 - Due to work on the Dairy Rd bridge, Route 9 will not serve bus stops north of the bridge Saturday and Sunday. The route will use the Gentry Ln @ Walker Upper Elementary School bus stop (#18022) as the time point.
Thursday, November 23, 2017 - Thanksgiving Day – Sunday Level Service (ONLY the Free Trolley, Route 2, Route 9, and Route 12)
