Try Transit Week, September 17 - 21
We've partnered with the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) to promote this year's Try Transit Week.  Participants who pledge to use transit will be entered into a drawing to win great prizes including round-trip tickets aboard Amtrak's Northeaset Regional train and free bus passes.

Seeking Artists for the 2019 Art Bus!
The Tom Tom Founders Festival, CAT, and JAUNT are looking for an artist to design the 2019 bus wrap.  For more details, click here.

Transportation Development Plan (TDP)
Conducted by Foursquare ITP, the TDP is a twelve month study that occurs every six years.  The plan lays the groundwork for future policy decisions and potential service adjustments.  To learn more, click here.

Park & Ride
Are you a commuter looking for alternative parking options?  The City of Charlottesville offers free parking on Avon Street Extended. 

Unplanned Detours 
Up-to-the-minute major delays and detours will be posted on CAT's Facebook page and pushed out through CAT's Mobile App Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM (excluding holidays).

Planned Detours

9/22/2018 - 10:30 AM - Due to UVA's home football game against Louisville, the Free Trolley will not serve Jefferson Park Avenue south of Emmet Street, Maury Avenue, Alderman Road, and McCormick Road from 13:00 AM until two hours post game.  Instead, the route will take Emmet Street to University Avenue. Passengers wishing to reach the stadium are encouraged to use the Jefferson Park Avenue @ Cabell Hall bus stop (#11155) or the Emmet Street @ Central Grounds Garage bus stop (#10472).
