- Free Trolley to Resume Service Across the Historic Downtown Mall

- CAT's Evening Detour on Route 5 to Start Earlier
Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) will make minor modifications to its evening Route 5 detour around the Rio Road / US 29 intersection. The detour, which is a result of construction on the Rio Road / US 29 grade separated intersection, had previously started at 9:00 PM. Beginning tonight, the detour will start at 8:30 PM. In addition, the first 45 minutes of service in the morning (6:15 AM to 7:00 AM) will follow the nightly detour path. This expansion of time will last until November 20th.
