Regular Fare

Riding CAT is very affordable. Exact fare is 75 cents per one way trip

Day Pass

Charlottesville Area Transit Day Passes simplify travel for CAT passengers who need to ride more than one bus route in a day.  The $1.50 Day Pass allows passengers to make connections from bus to bus all day long for one low fare.  Day Passes are sold right on CAT buses, and may be purchased when boarding any CAT bus.

Day Passes are more flexible than a transfer because it may be used to board any CAT bus, at any CAT stop, and to travel in any direction. CAT does not issue transfers to passengers, so if your travel plans require using more than one bus route, purchasing a Day Pass is the way to go.

Reduced Fare Day Passes (priced at 75 cents) are available for those who qualify for CAT Reduced Fare status (see Reduced Fare section below).

Day Passes are sold on board CAT buses.
