Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) will detour the Free Trolley effective immediately while the Virginia Department of Transportation continues repairs to the McCormick Road Bridge.

During the detour, the Free Trolley will not travel on McCormick Road, and none of the CAT stops on McCormick will be served. Instead, the Trolley will travel from Alderman Road to Ivy Road, resuming regular route service with the UVA Rotunda stop.

Free Trolley passengers may experience delays during the detour. CAT apologizes for any inconvenience to its customers.
