Our office is located in the City Hall Annex, on the corner of East Market St. and 7th St, NE. We are on the ground floor in room 122. 2009 General Election
As the city gets ready for the 2009 elections, the General Registrar’s Office reminds residents about important dates related to voting.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3rd and the polls will be open from 6am - 7pm. The final day to register to vote in the November election is Monday, Oct. 5th. Registered voters in Charlottesville City will be voting for:
- Governor
- Lieutenant Governor
- Attorney General
- House of Delegates
- Commonwealth’s Attorney
- Commissioner of Revenue
- Treasurer
- Sheriff
- City Council
- School Board
The first day to vote absentee is Friday, Sept. 18th. The last day to submit an application for an absentee ballot to be mailed is Tuesday, Oct. 27th. The final day to vote absentee in person for the November election is Saturday, Oct. 31st.
The City of Charlottesville’s General Registrar’s Office is located at 120 7th St. NE Rm. 122 and is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office will be open 8:30am - 4:30pm on Saturday, Oct. 24th and Saturday, Oct. 31st for absentee voting.
