Student Ride Free
In an effort to promote public transportation among high school students, CAT is currently running a pilot program that allows all area teens to ride fare-FREE with a valid school ID or CAT issued photo ID. CAT also offers ride-FREE programs for all area youth (of all ages) in the summer.

Paratransit
All CAT buses are accessible to persons with disabilities and are wheelchair lift-equipped. Paratransit service is provided for anyone who cannot use cannot use standard fixed-route CAT buses for all trips.

UVA Ride FREE
Under a pre-paid arrangement, UVA Student, Faculty, and Staff IDs are accepted as fare on CAT buses.

FREE Trolley
One of CAT's most popular routes, the Trolley connects Historic Downtown Charlottesville with the Grounds of the University of Virginia.  And it's FREE!

Bring your bike with you!  All CAT buses, vans, and Trolleys have bike racks that are simple to use.
