Looking for the next bus?  Do you know there are several ways you can access real-time information about CAT buses?

On the Web
Real-time bus information is right at your fingertips!  Depending on your browser, use the one of the links below to check when the next bus will arrive:

CTS' real-time bus stop map lets you look up routes and stops on the web, and provides information on how many minutes remain until bus routes will arrive.

CAT Real-Time Bus Information Site
This real time map launches in a new window, and requires Microsoft Silverlight.  If Silverlight is not installed on your computer, you will be prompted to download the program at www.microsoft.com/silverlight.

Riders can use the real-time bus stop search page to select a stop and find real-time information about the bus routes arriving at that stop.

Charlottesville Bus Stop Search
This search page allows you to look up bus arrivals at a particular location, using either the bus stop name or the five-digit stop number (posted at each CAT stop).   This feature works in all major browsers including IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera.

On the Phone
Real-time schedule information for each CAT bus stop is available by calling 434.244.5180 and entering the five-digit stop number posted at the CAT stop for which you would like information.   On entering the stop number, the next bus arrivals at the stop will be announced.

At CAT Stops

CAT Bus Finder Locations
By placing your thumb over a route number on a red CAT Bus Finder, you can see how many minutes remain until the bus arrives at that stop.

Nearly 50 CAT bus stops are equipped with Bus Finders.  The bright red boxes have a touch screen that show upcoming arrivals at that stop.

Each screen shows the routes that service that stop.  Along the left hand side of the screen is a scale of minutes, from 2 to 28.  After placing your thumb over one of the CAT bus route numbers on the screen, the bus finder indicates the number of minutes remaining until the bus on that route will arrive at the stop.  If a bus is more than 28 minutes away or is not in service, the Bus Finder will indicate "refer to timetable."

To help you locate the Bus Finders that are most convenient to you, both the CAT Rider's Guide and on-street bus route maps indicate the CAT stops having Bus Finders with a small bus finder icon.

At the Downtown Transit Station

Schedule screens at the Downtown Transit Station tell passengers how many minutes remain until each bus route arrival.
View Screens
at the Downtown Station show the bus routes currently in service, and when the next bus on that route will arrive at the station.

Passengers can track CAT buses from the comfort of the Station's waiting room.
