LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPLORER POST 606

The Police Explorer Post is supervised and run through The Charlottesville Police Department, and is chartered by the Boy Scouts of America. The program educates the young men and women who may be interested in a career in Law Enforcement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ages 14 through 21 years
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point (C) average in school
• Should be a resident of the city of Charlottesville or Albemarle County
• Should be interested in a career in law enforcement
• Must follow all rules and regulations set forth by the Explorer Post
• Must Attend three consecutive post meetings.

ACTIVITIES:

• Traffic Details and Security Operations at the following events:
• Dogwood Parade
• First Night Virginia
• Barracks Road Christmas Parade
• Attend University of Virginia and Charlottesville High School Football Games
• McGruff the Crime Dog
• Ride-along Program
• Post Meetings Biweekly
