The meeting began at 4:30pm.

Cheri wanted to make sure that we reminded citizens to speak civilly during the public hearing. Some of the correspondence for agenda items from the public have not been civil and she did not want that to come into the public meeting. Jason reviewed how he would be addressing that this evening. It was determined that commissioners who met with applicants on Hill & Center would provide that report in the meeting. There was a brief discussion on Planning Commission guidelines and how to address situations.

Minor changes to the minutes were noted and will be noted at the regular meeting.

Jason reviewed the required motions for the Downtown area zoning changes. There was a discussion on the complexity of this issue and it was noted that if changes were needed that a brief recess could be taken to allow staff to assist with drafting of language. Dan asked about how the work sessions work with the continued public hearing. He also noted that there are changes to density references and it was thought that would be discussed in the future. It was noted that the highlighted density changes in the draft are for areas where new zoning classifications exist. In those cases, the density of that area remains the same thought it may be called something different.

There was a brief discussion on the Hill & Center application process.
