This family-friendly event will wrap up Fix-a-Leak Week, a national campaign by the Environmental Protection Agency. Information on tackling water leaks in your home, as well as general water conservation tips, resources, and rebates, will be featured at the race.

Date & Time: Sunday, March 26th at 10:00AM

Venue: Pen Park, 1400 Pen Park Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22901

Course: The course passes through the Pen Park Nature Tail and winds along the Rivanna River. Throughout the course, participants will enjoy scenic mountain views. The final leg of the race loops around the Pen Park playground, making it easy for family members and friends to cheer on their fellow runners as they finish the race. There will be signs to guide you along the way and volunteers to facilitate the crossing across Pen Park Road & around turns, but please use caution during the race. The section of the course that runs parallel along the Rivanna River might be muddy due to the weather. Please wear proper shoes.

Packet Pick Up: Race packet pick-up will be available beginning at 9:00AM on the day of the event (Sunday March 26th). We advise that you arrive at the event by 9:30AM to allow for plenty of time to pick up your packet and properly prepare for the event.

Awards: The Fix-A-Leak 5K will feature a running toilet (literally!). The first two participants who catch the running toilet and grab a tag from the running toilet will each receive a special prize at the end of the race for helping to "catch the leak". Special awards will also be given to the overall male and female finishers in the adult and youth categories.

Additional features: Technical race t-shirts, water conservation goodie bag, and light snacks are included in the event registration. Participants also have the opportunity to win raffle prizes during the award ceremony. Family activities, including face painting, balloon animals, and music, will be available at Pen Park during the event.

Registration Fees:
   City Residents

          Adult: $10; Youth (under 18): $7
   Non-City Residents

Registration fee includes a technical race t-shirt. However, t-shirt sizes are not guaranteed to participants that register after March 17th, 2017. Group rates are available upon request.

Please note: this event will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed or canceled.
