City of Charlottesville Joins Suit Regarding Unauthorized Paramilitary Organizations
The City of Charlottesville has joined a lawsuit filed by Georgetown Law's Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection (ICAP).
Drought Warning Restrictions
A Special Meeting of the Charlottesville City Council was held October 11, 2017 at 4:15 pm at which time the City of Charlottesville approved drought warning stage restrictions for all City residents and businesses.
Social Media Threat
On October 11, Charlottesville Police received information from the FBI regarding an online threat. In response, CPD is coordinating with schools in the City and City Schools are operating in modified lockdown.
City Statement on October 7th Rally in Emancipation Park
At approximately 7:40 p.m. last night, Mr. Richard Spencer and a group or approximately 40 people held an unannounced tiki torch rally in Emancipation Park that lasted approximately 10 minutes.
