House fires are a serious danger and the Charlottesville Fire Department would like to remind you to please check your smoke alarm batteries and replace if necessary. Smoke alarm units should be replaced every 10 years.

CAT to Detour Multiple Routes on Saturday
In response to road closures for the Dogwood Parade, Charlottesville Area Transit will detour multiple routes Saturday, April 21. Routes that typically travel along Market Street will detour from service startup until 2:00 PM.
