The City will designate the Herman Key Recreation Center and Tonsler Park as Cooling Centers from Monday, July 2 through Friday, July 6 for residents affected by the extreme high temperatures expected in the area this week.

The Key Recreation Center will be open from 10am to 9pm and is located at 800 East Market Street, at the end of the Downtown Mall adjacent to the nTelos Wireless Pavilion.

Tonsler Park will open as a Cooling Center from 5pm - 9pm and is located at the corner of Cherry Ave. and 5th Street SW.

Water will be provided at both locations.
